LIVING AS CHRISTIANS
Jehovah Loves Clean People
“Wash your hands. Clean your room. Sweep the floor. Take out the trash.” Many parents teach their children how to stay clean physically. However, the principles of cleanliness originate with our holy God. (Ex 30:18-20; De 23:14; 2Co 7:1) When we keep our body and belongings clean, we honor Jehovah. (1Pe 1:14-16) What about our home and surroundings? In contrast to people who toss litter on roads and in parks, Christians do their best to keep their earthly home clean. (Ps 115:16; Re 11:18) Even small things, such as how we dispose of candy wrappers, soda cans, or chewing gum, could reveal our attitude toward cleanliness. In every aspect of life, we want to “recommend ourselves as God’s ministers.”—2Co 6:3, 4.

We will soon face the greatest tribulation the world has ever seen. How can we keep spiritually strong now and into the future?
Pray continually, using every form of prayer
Develop intense love for our Christian brothers and sisters, drawing ever closer to them
Show warm hospitality
ASK YOURSELF, ‘What are some practical ways that I can show intense love and warm hospitality to brothers and sisters locally and around the world?’

LIVING AS CHRISTIANS
Chaste Conduct and Deep Respect Win Hearts
Wives who become believers often win their husbands over to the truth by their Christlike conduct. However, this may require enduring hardship for many years. (1Pe 2:21-23; 3:1, 2) If you are suffering unjustly, continue to conquer the evil with the good. (Ro 12:21) Your fine example may have a positive effect that words alone never could.
Try to look at matters from your mate’s perspective. (Php 2:3, 4) Show empathy and compassion, and do your best to fulfill your own responsibilities honorably. Be a good listener. (Jas 1:19) Be patient, and assure your mate of your love. Even if your mate never shows you the same kindness and respect, you can rest assured that Jehovah appreciates your faithfulness.—1Pe 2:19, 20.

Jehovah will quickly execute justice at his appointed time. Do our actions show that we are ready for Jehovah’s coming day?
What does it mean to be involved “in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion”?
We must be morally clean and stand up for our faith
We must regularly participate in spiritual activities, both in public and in private

LIVING AS CHRISTIANS
How Much Do You Treasure God’s Word?
The Bible contains the thoughts and sayings of Jehovah God, the Author of this sacred book. (2Pe 1:20, 21) By emphasizing the vindication of God’s sovereignty by means of his Kingdom, the Bible offers to all mankind the hope that better days will soon be here. The Bible also reveals the loving personality of our heavenly Father, Jehovah.—Ps 86:15.
Each of us values Jehovah’s Word for different reasons. But do we show that we treasure this precious gift by reading it every day and then applying it in our life? May our actions prove that we share the psalmist’s feelings: “How I do love your law!” —Ps 119:97.
