ISAIAH 62-64

¹ And her salvation burns like a torch.

² Which Jehovah’s own mouth will designate.

³ A royal turban in the palm of your God.

⁴ And your land will be as one married.

⁵ Your God will rejoice over you.

⁶ Do not rest,

⁷ Yes, until he makes her the praise of the earth.”

⁸ Nor will foreigners drink your new wine, for which you have toiled.

⁹ And those collecting it will drink it in my holy courtyards.”

¹⁰ Raise up a signal for the peoples.

¹¹ And the wage he pays is before him.’”

¹² And you will be called Sought After, a City Not Abandoned.

¹ The One with great power to save.”

² And why are your garments like those of one treading the winepress?

³ And I have stained all my clothing.

⁴ And the year of my repurchased ones has come.

⁵ And my own wrath supported me.

⁶ And poured out their blood on the ground.”

⁷ According to his mercy and his great loyal love.

⁸ So he became their Savior.

⁹ And he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

¹⁰ And he fought against them.

¹¹ Where is the One who put within him His holy spirit,

¹² To make an everlasting name for himself,

¹³ Like a horse in the open country?

¹⁴ To make a majestic name for yourself.

¹⁵ They are withheld from me.

¹⁶ Our Repurchaser of long ago is your name.

¹⁷ The tribes of your inheritance.

¹⁸ Our adversaries have trampled on your sanctuary.

¹⁹ Like those never called by your name.

¹ So that the mountains would quake because of you,

² And the nations would tremble before you!

³ You came down, and the mountains quaked before you.

⁴ Who acts in behalf of those who keep in expectation of him.

⁵ Should we now be saved?

⁶ And our errors will carry us off like the wind.

⁷ And you cause us to waste away because of our error.

⁸ We are all the work of your hand.

⁹ Look at us, please, for we are all your people.

¹⁰ Jerusalem a wasteland.

¹¹ And all the things we cherished lie in ruins.

¹² Will you remain silent and let us be afflicted so severely?
