ISAIAH 56-57

Isaiah 56:
1 And my righteousness will be revealed.
2 And who holds his hand back from any kind of evil.
3 And the eunuch should not say, ‘Look! I am a dried-up tree.’”
4 For this is what Jehovah says to the eunuchs who keep my sabbaths and who choose what I delight in and who hold fast to my covenant:
5 One that will not perish.
6 And who hold fast to my covenant,
7 For my house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”
8 “I will gather to him others besides those already gathered.”
9 All you wild animals in the forest.
10 They are panting and lying down; they love to slumber.
11 Every last one of them seeks his own dishonest gain and says:
12 And tomorrow will be like today, only far better!”
Isaiah 57:
1 Because of the calamity.
2 They rest on their beds, all who walk uprightly.
3 You children of an adulterer and a prostitute:
4 The children of deceit,
5 Under the clefts of the crags?
6 Should I be satisfied with these things?
7 And you went up there to offer sacrifice.
8 And you gazed at the male organ.
9 So that you descended to the Grave.
10 That is why you do not give up.
11 So you showed no fear of me.
12 And they will not benefit you.
13 And will take possession of my holy mountain.
14 Remove any obstacle from the way of my people.’”
15 And to revive the heart of those being crushed.
16 Even the breathing creatures that I have made.
17 But he kept walking as a renegade, following the way of his heart.
18 And restore comfort to him and to his mourning ones.”
19 “And I will heal him.”
20 And its waters keep tossing up seaweed and mire.
21 There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”
