ISAIAH 54-55

¹ Than the sons of the woman with a husband,” says Jehovah.

² And make your tent pins strong.

³ And they will inhabit the desolated cities.

⁴ And the disgrace of your widowhood you will remember no more.”

⁵ He will be called the God of the whole earth.

⁶ Like a wife married in youth and then rejected,” says your God.

⁷ But with great mercy I will gather you back.

⁸ But with everlasting loyal love I will have mercy on you,” says your Repurchaser, Jehovah.

⁹ So I swear that I will no more become indignant toward you or rebuke you.

¹⁰ Nor will my covenant of peace be shaken,” says Jehovah, the One having mercy on you.

¹¹ And your foundation with sapphires.

¹² And all your boundaries of precious stones.

¹³ And the peace of your sons will be abundant.

¹⁴ For it will not come near you.

¹⁵ Whoever makes an attack on you will fall because of you.”

¹⁶ I myself also created the destructive man to bring ruin.

¹⁷ And their righteousness is from me,” declares Jehovah.

¹ Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.

² And you will find great delight in what is truly rich.

³ In harmony with the expressions of loyal love to David, which are faithful.

⁴ A leader and commander to the nations.

⁵ Because he will glorify you.

⁶ Call to him while he is near.

⁷ To our God, for he will forgive in a large way.

⁸ And your ways are not my ways,” declares Jehovah.

¹⁰ Giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
