w11 1/1 14 ¶2-3
Isaiah 45:
1 So that the gates will not be shut:
2 And the iron bars I will cut down.
3 The God of Israel, who is calling you by your name.
4 I am giving you a name of honor, although you did not know me.
5 I will strengthen you, although you did not know me,
6 I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.
7 I, Jehovah, am doing all these things.
8 I, Jehovah, have created it.”
9 Or should your work say: “He has no hands”?
10 And to a woman: “What are you giving birth to?”
11 And command me about my sons and the works of my hands?
12 And I give orders to all their army.”
13 And set my exiles free without a price or a bribe,” says Jehovah of armies.
14 And there is no one else; there is no other God.’”
15 O God of Israel, the Savior.
16 The makers of idols will all go off in disgrace.
17 You will not be put to shame or disgraced for all eternity.
18 “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.
19 I am Jehovah, who speaks what is righteous and declares what is upright.
20 And pray to a god that cannot save them.
21 A righteous God and a Savior, there is none besides me.
22 For I am God, and there is no one else.
23 Every tongue will swear loyalty
24 All those enraged against him will come before him in shame.
25 And in him they will make their boast.’”
Isaiah 46:
1 Like baggage that burdens the weary animals.
2 And they themselves go into captivity.
3 You whom I have supported from birth and carried from the womb.
4 As I have done, I will carry you and bear you and rescue you.
5 So that we should resemble each other?
6 Then they prostrate themselves, yes, they worship it.
7 It cannot rescue anyone from distress.
8 Take it to heart, you transgressors.
9 I am God, and there is no one like me.
10 And I will do whatever I please.’
11 I have purposed it, and I will also carry it out.
12 You who are far away from righteousness.
13 I will grant salvation in Zion, my splendor to Israel.”
Isaiah 47:
1 For never again will people call you delicate and pampered.
2 Cross over the rivers.
3 I will take vengeance, and no man will stand in my way.
4 Is the Holy One of Israel.”
5 No more will they call you Mistress of Kingdoms.
6 Even on the elderly you placed a heavy yoke.
7 You did not consider how the matter would end.
8 I will never know the loss of children.”
9 Because of your many sorceries and all your powerful spells.
10 And you say in your heart: “I am the one, and there is no one else.”
11 Sudden ruin will come upon you like you have never known.
12 Perhaps you may strike people with awe.
13 About the things that will come upon you.
14 And this is not a fire to sit in front of.
15 There will be no one to save you.
